Juan Soto shocked the baseball world when he signed a fifteen year 765 million dollar deal with the New York Mets.

Soto’s contract is more valuable than Dodger’s star Shohei Ohtani’s ten year 700 million dollar deal he signed last year in the offseason.

Soto who has played with the Washington Nationals, the San Diego Padres, and the New York Yankees, is a four time All-Star and came off hitting 41 home runs and 109 RBI’s this past season.

This contract impacts baseball as it is now one of the richest contracts in MLB history and has made Juan Soto one of the more prized players in the league.

Soto had many teams in the MLB on their feet trying to get him on their team. The New York Mets and owner Steve Cohen had been one of the teams who were strong in wanting to acquire Soto’s services.

Soto now also teams up with Mets SuperStar Francisco Lindor to bring excitement to fans in Queens.

New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor has been named a finalist for the National League MVP.

After a rough start to the season, Lindor was one of the men responsible for the Mets major turnaround which ended with a NLCS appearance, which is the farthest the Mets have gone since the 2015 World Series appearance.

Lindor this season had a batting average of .273, 33 home runs, and 91 rbi’s. Lindor also produced many clutch moment’s throughout the season, most notably a two-run homer in the ninth against the Atlanta Braves to clinch the Wild Card.

The NL MVP Finalists are Francisco Lindor, Ketel Marte, and Shohei Ohtani.

Despite missing the postseason, Marte put up a .292 batting average, 36 home runs, and 95 rbi’s. Ohtani, a former two-time AL MVP, had a historic season with being the first player to hit 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases. Ohtani had a .310 batting average, 54 home runs, and 130 rbi’s

After the New York Yankees lost the World Series to the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-1, the question is now where Juan Soto will end up.

Juan Soto, 26, has been titled as the number one target for many teams to chase after during free agency. Soto, a four- time all-star, played with the Washington Nationals from 2018-2022, with whom he won a World Series with in 2019, and played with the San Diego Padres from 2022-2023.

Many teams looking for the services of Soto are the New York Mets, Toronto Blue Jays, and the Phillies. The Yankees are looking to re-sign him, and the World Series champions Dodgers are looking to add him to their already stacked roster.

Soto had a pretty fair postseason with 4 homeruns and 9 total RBI’s. Soto also hit a homerun in game 2 of the World Series.

Teams are ready to offer Soto contracts that are around in the range of more than 600 million dollars. These contracts would make him among one of the most highest players in the league.

The Dodgers Are Your World Series Champions

The Los Angeles Dodgers have defeated the New York Yankees 4-1 in the World Series to clinch their 8th World Series title.

In a game where it seemed it was going to go to the Yankees, the Dodgers were able to overcome a five run deficit and eventually take the lead. The Dodgers went the distance with the Yankees.

Freddie Freeman has been named the World Series MVP after a historic performance that he put on. Freeman hit a home run in four games of the World Series, including a 10 inning grand-slam in game one of the series.

Now the Dodgers have themselves a chance to go back-to-back considering many of their injured players will return the following season.

As for the Yankees, the question is whether Juan Soto will return to the Yankees or if he will play elsewhere next season.

Yankees Stay Alive Another Day

The New York Yankees live to fight another day as they were able to garner their first victory of the series defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-4. The Yankees now trail the series 3-1 against the Dodgers.

In a must win situation, The Yankees were guided by a grand slam by Anthony Volpe, a home run by Vernon Wells, and a three run home run by Gleyber Torres helped the Yankees stay in the series.

The Dodgers who have had the upper hand for most of the series, have lost the first game this series. The Dodgers have been guided by Freddie Freeman who has hit a home run in every single game of the series thus far, including a 2 run home run in the first inning. Will Smith also provided a home run in the 5th.

The Yankees saw some hope when Aaron Judge provided a single, allowing Juan Soto to score. Judge, who has been one of the favorites for the AL MVP all season, has struggled in this postseason.

The Yankees now move on to game 5 as they host the Dodgers at Yankee Stadium at 8:08 P.M.
